The BMW M Series – Street Legal Street Cars

In 1972 BMW started a subsidiary known as BMW M GmbH. This was a division used to build cars in the field of motorsport. After the vehicles in the M series became especially popular and successful in the field of racing the company worked to help bring these cars to the public in street legal forms. The BMW M Series is one of the top series of cars on the market. These BMW street cars are powerful and ready for the road.

The M3 is the first of these BMW street cars to check out. This is a vehicle that is ready for racing and is legal for street driving. First produced in 1986, this vehicle has undergone various changes, and the most recent of these versions is the E90/92/93 M3. This car features a 4.0L V8 engine that can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in less than five seconds.

Next up on the list of cars in the M Series is the M5. This car features a V10 engine with five hundred horsepower. A six speed manual transmission can be used here, but seven speed Sequential Manual Gearbox configurations can be used as well. The engine is so powerful that it can reach speeds of up to two hundred miles per hour (330 km/h) without a limiter. However, there have been some concerns about the fuel economy of this car, as it gets less than twenty miles per gallon, which is less than that of most BMW models.

The M6 is another of the powerful BMW street cars on the market. This car features the same drivetrain that is featured in the M5 with a five hundred horsepower V10 engine. What makes it different is the carbon fiber used in the construction of this car. The carbon fiber is used in the bumpers to help with not only reducing weight but also with improving handling. This is done by reducing the center of the mass height in the car.

The M Roadster is the highest level in the field of these BMW sports cars. This convertible features rear wheel drive and a 3.2L Inline-6 engine. This is a type of engine where the cylinders are all in a row. What makes this great is that there is a greater balance in the engine and therefore reduced wear and vibration. This vehicle is available with a fixed roof or as a convertible. A six speed manual transmission is also featured here.

The BMW M Series is a grouping of street cars that is especially popular in the field of German engineering. These BMW street cars are built on the experience that BMW has built over the years in the world of motorsport. Today these cars are available to anyone and are especially exciting to check out.

Man wins Ebay auction for 60k car; dealership refuses to pay out.

Last Thursday, an auction was won on Ebay. It wasn't your "typical" crazy auction - the item was legitimate, the bid was legitimate. There are no virgin Mary's appearing, it's not a cornflake being bid on for 200,000 dollars.
